This is the second book I have read from this author, the first being “Heart Song.” Since I really enjoyed that one, I thought I should check out “Sand Dollar” also. Well, I was not disappointed! I thought the characters were all very fully imagined, from Minnesota to Maui. Recommend to fans of drama and relationship fiction.
Oh I just loved it felt like I was inside the story you are a beautiful lady and a great writer! Guy's lucky to have such a great Mom!
I have never been to Hawaii until now. It was such fun to read a light hearted story of love and laughter while "traveling" throughout Maui. The author made me smile all the while. Thumbs up!
A delightful story about love, and an independent woman, set on the beautiful island of Maui. Joyce takes us into the world of the main character, Elizabeth, as she develops her love of writing, new friendships, and tries to sort out a love interest. The detailed descriptions about Maui brought back many wonderful memories for me. It is a heartwarming and lovely story..... and I love happy endings.
This is a wonderful story, well written that made me laugh and smile a lot. I learned thing about the people and customs of Maui that I didn't know and now I would like to go there and see for myself. The story is a love story with many twists and turns. This author has a knack for taking you "on location". She describes all that surrounds the "story" and still manages to keep you interested in what is happening with the very interesting characters.
