Global Member Care Crossing Sectors for Serving Humanity edition by Kelly O'Donnell Michele Lewis O'Donnell Health Fitness Dieting eBooks Reviews
A dreadful book, absolutely terrible reading. For a practitioner in member care this book is a waste of time and money. Far, far better resources out there.
This is a must-have resource for every HR manager of any international service / aid organization. With an emphasis on learning best practices across all sectors for more effective humanitarian outcomes, it makes the connections and highlights the contributions for serving humanity.
Once again the O'Donnells have broaden our horizons in our discussion of Member Care. I love this book as it helps us see what we can learn from other NGO's and how to best apply lessons learned to our own work in Member Care and agencies. It is filled with practical chapters and examples of how to do an even better job of global member care. This book shows why they continue to be the master teachers in Member Care.
I appreciate their vision for cross-sector applications of good principles of member care. It is too easy for each "sector" (e.g. missionary, non-governmental, military, foreign service and corporate) to think they are the "only ones" and not pool their resources and understanding for the help of all.
